Below is a roof inspection form used for each section of roof for a facility.  It is simple and to the point to allow the facility manager to review a make decisions quickly.  A lot of the technical language is left out but everything in the roofing system is inspected.

Pictures of deficiencies on each section and roof drawings can also be included in the report.

Beyond the Inspection

A roof needs regular maintenance and upkeep to prolong its years of usefulness.  Adding five to ten years past the end of the warranty will save your facility thousands of dollars in replacement cost.

If roof replacement is needed:

Choose manufacturers and contractors that are experienced and qualified and they meet qualifications set by the owner and roofing consultant.  

​

Choose a roofing system that is the best for your facility and the situation.  

​

Write detailed specifications for the chosen roofing system and include all legal documentation.

​

Put project out to bid following legal guidelines according to State laws.

​

Choose the best and most qualified contractor according to the written roof specifications.  

​

Have qualified person oversee the installation of the project.  Proper installation is worth more than a warranty.
